2-Day Private Zagora Desert Trip from Agadir

  • 2 days / 1 night
  • Private tour – your group only
  • Starts & ends in Agadir
  • Long driving days

Zagora is the closest gateway to the Sahara landscapes from Agadir. This private two-day trip crosses the Souss valley and the Anti-Atlas to reach the Draa Valley, a ribbon of date palms and earthen kasbahs that runs south towards the desert. You spend the night in a desert camp near Zagora and return to Agadir the following day.

Please note that the distances are long, with around seven to eight hours of driving each day including stops. The dunes around Zagora are smaller than the great ergs of Merzouga; if you have more time, our private four-day Merzouga tour reaches the high dunes of Erg Chebbi.

Early morning pickup from your accommodation in Agadir on day 1. Drop-off at your accommodation in Agadir in the evening of day 2.

Frequently Asked Questions

How far is Zagora from Agadir?

Around 7 to 8 hours by road including stops.

Is 2 days enough for the desert from Agadir?

It is enough for a first taste of the desert with a night in a camp. For the big Sahara dunes, consider our 4-day Merzouga tour.

What is the desert camp like?

Camps range from simple Berber tents to comfort tents with private bathrooms. We agree the level with you when we prepare your quote.

Can we extend the trip?

Yes, for example by adding a night in Ouarzazate or Taroudant.

Is the tour private?

Yes. The vehicle and driver are reserved for your group throughout.
