Just south of Agadir, the Souss-Massa National Park protects a long strip of Atlantic coast with dunes, cliffs, argan scrub and two river estuaries. The mouth of the Oued Massa is one of the best birdwatching spots in Morocco, with herons, egrets and, depending on the season, flamingos and many migrating waders. The coast of the park is also one of the last places in the wild where the northern bald ibis, a critically rare bird, can be seen.
This private trip takes you to the Massa estuary for a walk along the nature trails, then on to Tifnit, a small fishing village of simple houses built against the cliffs above a wide, empty beach. It is an ideal day for nature lovers, photographers and anyone who wants to see a quieter side of the Agadir coast.
Pickup from your accommodation in Agadir. Early starts are recommended for birdwatchers, as the light and activity are best in the morning.
This is a private tour: the vehicle, the driver and any guide are reserved for you and the people travelling with you. You will never be combined with other travellers, and the pace, stops and timings can be adjusted to suit you.
Expect gentle walks of one to two hours in total on sandy paths and tracks. Your driver knows the access points and can wait while you explore at your own pace.

Drive back to your accommodation.

Sometimes, but sightings are never guaranteed. The birds move between feeding areas along the coast. A specialist guide increases your chances.
Yes. The walks are easy and can be shortened.
The beach is beautiful but the Atlantic can be rough with strong currents and there are no lifeguards. Swimming is at your own risk.
